Mont Lone Yay Paw dumpling

What is Mont Lone Yay Paw?

Mont Lone Yay Paw (Mote Lone Yay Paw) is a traditional Myanmar sweet dumpling made from glutinous rice flour, usually filled with palm sugar. During Thingyan (Myanmar New Year Water Festival), people make it together and share it freely as a symbol of community, generosity, and joy.

A playful tradition is to hide a chili 🌶️ inside a few dumplings — a fun surprise that makes everyone laugh, especially during Thingyan when water is everywhere.

✨ This website lets everyone join the fun: make your own dumpling, cook it, and reveal others’ surprises. Please use with your computer & mouse for best experiences.
